Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

What types of course are available? Courses are available as 2-day, 3-day or 5-day programmes - read more about the full range of English for Business workshops. Workshops are held in the mornings and include an hour for lunch with ‘conversational English’, or a presentation relevant to your industry.

Can I specify a course for a team of employees at my company? Please contact us. We are happy to arrange a course based on your requirements. We can also arrange activities and networking relevant to your group.

When are courses available? Business courses are designed on a bespoke basis. Contact us to find out how you can specify a programme for your team, or to join an existing programme as an individual.

What is my level? Some courses are designed for advanced or for intermediate English speakers. Others are suitable for both levels. We will assess everyone’s level before arrival to ensure each course is appropriate.

What does the course price include? The course price includes the workshops, buffet lunch and associated taxes. Accommodation, evening activities and your flight are excluded from the course price. Published prices are intended as a guide as they will change according to season and demand. Contact us for special offers for groups and for off-season reservations.

Do I need to buy a text book? Workshop materials are provided as photocopies and also made available on our website. You may wish to bring your laptop, or we can provide one for you for a small additional fee.

How do I make a reservation? Once a course and date has been agreed, the booking is conducted via our secure booking system. You can pay a non-refundable, 15% deposit to book your place. The full balance is payable 28 days before the start date of your stay. We will then send you details about accommodation and payment arrangements.

What is the accommodation like? We offer a variety of accommodation options, all of which include breakfast. All double rooms are en suite. Please indicate your preferences when you book your course.

What happens when I’ve booked? When we receive your order we will send you an email confirmation. Contact us if you do not receive this email within 30 minutes of making your order. Please let us know when you have arranged your flight. Nearer the time of your arrival we will send you details of your accommodation and transport from your airport to the hotel.

Which airport is closest? You are responsible for booking your own flight. Please arrange to arrive the day before your courses starts. Gatwick Airport is the most convenient - less than an hour from Brighton by train. Alternatives in London are Heathrow Airport, Standsted Airport and London City Airport.

Do I need insurance? Personal travel insurance is required to cover your stay. We recommend that you also bring your European Health Insurance Card with you, just in case you require medical treatment or advice while in the UK. (See our terms and conditions for more information).
