Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
What type of course can I choose? Courses are available as 2-day, 3-day or 5-day programmes - read more about
leisure workshops. Workshops are held in the mornings and include ‘conversational English’ over lunch.
When are courses available? See the

What is my level? Some courses are designed for advanced or for intermediate English speakers. Others are suitable for both levels. We will assess your level before your arrival to ensure your course is appropriate.
What does the course price include? The course price includes the workshops and lunches. Accommodation, evening activities and your flight are
excluded from the course price. Please note that prices may vary with season and demand.
Are discounts available? Discounts are available to social or professional groups.
Contact us to find out how we can tailor courses to your requirements. We can request a discount on accommodation if you'd like to stay on at your hotel after the weekend.
Do I need to buy a text book? Workshop materials are provided as photocopies and also made available on our website. You may wish to bring your laptop, or we can provide one for you for a small additional fee.
How do I make my reservation? The booking process is in 3 simple stages:
- Choose your course and select your accommodation options.
- Enter your details and choose a password. Then enter your address and confirm your order.
- Payment is made via PayPal’s secure gateway. You don’t need a PayPal account – you can use your debit or credit card.
What is the accommodation like? We offer a variety of accommodation options, all of which include breakfast. All double rooms are en suite. Please indicate your preferences when you book your course.
Can I book for more than one person? If you’re a couple, each of you should book onto the course separately. Only one person should select the required accommodation. If you are representing a group, please
contact us as a discount may be available.
What if I want to stay in Brighton for a few days after the course? Contact us and we will request a discount with the hotel on their normal rates.
What happens when I’ve booked? When we receive your order we will send you an email confirmation.
Contact us if you do not receive this email within 30 minutes of making your order. Please let us know when you have arranged your flight. Nearer the time of your arrival we will send you details of your accommodation and transport from your airport to the hotel.
How do I pay? You can pay a non-refundable, 15% deposit to book your place. The full balance is payable 28 days before the start date of your stay.
Which airport is closest? You are responsible for booking your own flight. Please arrange to arrive the day before your courses starts. Gatwick Airport is the most convenient - less than an hour from Brighton by train. Alternatives in London are Heathrow Airport, Standsted Airport and London City Airport.
Do I need insurance? Personal travel insurance is essential and should be adequate to cover your stay. We recommend that you also bring your European Health Insurance Card with you, just in case you require medical treatment or advice while in the UK. (See our
