OUR PEOPLE

The people behind SEE Brighton are committed to providing the highest quality service. Their positive attitude and local knowledge are SEE Brighton’s greatest assets.

We select our tutors for their commitment to provide high quality and innovative teaching to adults. All are qualified as English language teachers and all have experience teaching Spanish-speaking learners. We also like our tutors to have an active interest in Spanish culture.

Sheridan Nye is the founder of SEE Brighton and a Director of the company. She has worked for 10 years as a market analyst in the telecommunications sector and was previously a business journalist, based in London and San Francisco.

Sheridan completed three years of doctoral studies (corporate strategy and climate change) before her enthusiasm for learning Spanish inspired a new area of interest. Having studied with various schools in Spain and the UK, she saw an opportunity to build connections between the two cultures through language learning. SEE Brighton embodies this aspiration and is an organisation committed to the interchange of ideas and interests between Spanish and English speakers. A central objective of the company is also to open up the rewards and challenges of language learning to people from disadvantaged communities.
